Rip Curl dominates at SIMA Awards

The SIMA Image Awards celebrate the best surf brands and products from 2015.

Across Wetsuits, Boardshorts, Marketing, Swim and Accessories, Rip Curl was on a winning streak at the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association Image Awards over the weekend in Anaheim, California, snatching awards in 5 of 6 nominated categories. Rip Curl took out Wetsuit of the Year for the Flash Bomb Zip Free, Men’s Boardshort of the Year thanks to the Mirage MF Driven, and Accessory Product of the Year for the SearchGPS Watch - featured the most exciting innovation, design or appeal.

My Bikini was awarded as Women’s Marketing Campaign of the Year as the most creative marketing campaign in 2015.

And for the most exciting designs, increase of brand appeal, and growth of business Rip Curl was also presented Women’s Swim Brand of the Year.

Established in 2003, the SIMA Image Awards is the only awards program that gives SIMA members and surf specialty retailers the opportunity to recognize fellow surf industry companies for their outstanding contributions to the surf industry.

The goal of the SIMA Image Awards is to identify the surf industry’s most influential companies and recognize them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year.
