Rip Curl has introduced a new eco-friendly swimsuit and boardshort to the range this summer – the “Viva La Vida Bikini” and “Viva La Vida 3” Boardshort”. Perfect for surfing!
Both the “Viva La Vida Bikini” and “Viva La Vida 3” Boardshort” are worn by two-time ASP Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore.
“This bikini really brings fashion and function together! It is incredibly comfortable and unlike a halter top, the cross-back takes the pressure off my neck, as well as being a lot more secure when out in the surf riding waves,” said Gilmore.
“When I think of summer and beach sessions, I think of bright colours and cool patterns. Viva La Vida in this Bikini!!” continued Gilmore.
The bikini and boardshort are made from recycled PET (plastic bottles), and feature organic-inspired artwork. The “Viva La Vida Bikni” also features removable padding and a wide-band ideal for surfing and active sports.
The ‘eco’ factor is important to Rip Curl, and the design team is looking to expand on this in coming ranges.
