The Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day dates have been officially announced and will run on the weekend of November 28-29 at over 60 beaches around Australia.
Now in its 19th year of operation the program is a huge weekend on the surfing calendar, and provides an opportunity for females to take part in a professional surf lesson in the lead-up to summer.
With ambassadors such as two-time ASP Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore taking part the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day is a great initiative in promoting women’s surfing.
“Rip Curl’s Girls Go Surfing Day is a really positive program, it’s important for raising awareness of female surfing and getting girls in the water!” said Gilmore.
“It’s also a good chance for you to have a fun day at the beach with your mates and to hit the surf in a safe environment!” continued Gilmore.
Surfing is one of the healthiest, most fun and rewarding ways to keep fit, and is also an important part of the Australian culture.
Don’t miss out on learning to surf this year! Entry details and a list of participating surf schools will be uploaded in the next couple of weeks.
