The Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day is the world's leading all-female surf program!
The program is now in its 19th year of operation and is a huge weekend on the surfing calendar leading in to Summer! It actively encourages female beginners and non-surfers to take part in customised ‘learn to surf’ lessons that gets girls out in the water experiencing the rush that only
surfing provides.
The weekend event is held right across coastal Australia and focuses on promoting fun and participation in a supportive and professional environment. Surfing is a major part of the Australian culture and is one of the healthiest ways to keep fit.
Rip Curl team riders will join high profile Australian women to take part in all the action at selected beaches right across Australia to help encourage participants in and out of the water.
The Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day is all about promoting the health and well being of the female youth in Australia and is a great way for girls to kick start the summer surfing season.
“The GGSD program is a great way to promote female surfing in Australia and encourage girls to get out in the water with their friends. Since the program started there has been a significant increase in the number of girls surfing, and it’s important to continue to support female surfing!” said Rip Curl PR Manager Marine Cole.
