Grommets from across Australia will be frothing at the opportunity to join the 2012 Rip Curl GromSearch, as the nation wide junior surfing competition continues around Australia.

About GromSearch...
Searching for the best guy and girl 16 & under in the country, the four-stop series runs over 3 months and is staged during school holiday periods, allowing maximum opportunity to take part. Every surfer is guaranteed at least 2 surfs in the event and additional ‘expression sessions’ and interactive games ensuring that all ages and levels of competition experience are catered for.
The winners of the premier 16 and under division at each stop on the series will then earn a place in the GromSearch National final, held as part of the last event in the series on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in December.
The male and female National Champions will then head to Bells Beach in Easter 2013 for the International GromSearch final, held as part of the Rip Curl Pro, where they will have the opportunity to represent their country against other GromSearch competitors from around the globe.
The overall winner is crowned the International GromSearch Champion and their name will appear alongside previous champions who have moved on to ASP world tour success, including Steph Gilmore, Jordy Smith, Owen Wright, Gabriel Medina, Sally Fitzgibbons and Bethany Hamilton.
